Immigration Services |

Obtaining Iranian visas for
the foreign subjects has different procedures and the length of
time required for the completion of each visa
application depends on the type of visa request. The
following tables determine approximate durations required
for providing the necessary visas and permits for the
expatriates and the visitors to Iran. |

A) |
EXPAC |
|
The table below shows the
time required for current procedures executed in Ministries and governmental offices to obtain EXPAC. Should a case be processed
urgently, the time can be minimized to 25 days
by constant following up of the file. |

Note:
Please note that the
timetable above begins from the date when work visa is
requested. Nevertheless, all expatriates coming to
work in Iran with appropriate work visas, can finalize their
immigration status with the Iranian authorities within minimum 20
days and maximum 30 days, and can have their exit and
re-entry visas to leave the country without any problem in due time. |

C) |
Urgent Entry Visas: |
|

|
1) |
Entering in Free zones: According to the regulations
here, foreign subjects can enter the Iranian
free zones like the Kish Island without any visas. If they
require to travel to the main land, then they will
have to obtain entry visa from the free zones. |

|
|
2) |
72- hour Visas: In
case an expatriate is required to enter the country without
prior preparation for obtaining visas, he can travel
to Iran without having the visa in his passport. The
procedure is that a request for visa must be submitted to he
authorities at the airport here in the country. At
the airport, upon arrival of the traveler, he receives a visa
to stay in the country for maximum 72 hours.
